STORY HOUSE HAWAII
RECENT PROJECTS
Here are a selection of content marketing videos, commercials and web-based productions from Story House. Some works have been edited down from their original format.
CLIENT: Brookfield Homes Hawaii
In the latter half of 2016, Story House connected with the principals developers at Brookfield Residential, who were eager to spotlight the stunning design + locations of their three new residential lifestyle complexes. The challenges were many: Two different neighbor island locations for production, aerial gear that needed to make the trip, certified and experienced aerial photographers, and a tight editing job that didn't highlight lands under construction within the developments—much of which abutted our subject structures. Regardless, we're thrilled with the final product: 3 separate 30-second commercials that are currently airing on Time Warner Cable channels, across local and prime networks. Keep an eye out!
CLIENT: HYATT REGENCY WAIKIKI
One of our most expansive hospitality productions to date, Story House was delighted to work hand-in-hand with the Hyatt Regency Waikiki executive, management and PR/marketing team on this series of 3 creative films. The concept evolved from marketing video material to a series of intertwined stories that each air (currently) in all 1230-rooms at the hotel, as well as throughout public areas and in outbound messaging. Each production required models and/or actors to be cast, dozens of locations locked down, and a major edit job with graphics packages that took viewers through the unique messaging of each piece. We're extremely proud of these films, and were thrilled to work closely with the professionals at Hyatt in Hawaii.

CLIENT: Honolulu Coffee Company
As we delved into 2016, we tackled one of the most fun productions to date: An all-encompassing farm-to-cup visual story—of Honolulu Coffee Company. We ventured to Hawaii Island and flew above 2 separate, equally stunning coffee farms to capture forest-to-ocean views. We featured the workers who plant, maintain and harvest these special Kona coffee cherries. And we documented the sun-dried coffee beans making their way to Oahu. Here they arrive at the company's central roasting location: The brand new Honolulu Coffee Company Experience Center. Hundreds of visitors are greeted there per day with an 80-inch screen broadcasting our video. Here is a short version of that piece.

The Modern Honolulu has established itself as the premier boutique hotel property in Hawaii. What began as an Ian Schrager-designed hotel is now owned and managed by a group intent on creating a unique and curated experience for those who want the urban experience within paradise. From artists, to DJ culture, hiking and surfing, the hotel has truly captivated the attention of jet setters and trendy style mavens around the world.
The Modern commissioned spoken word poet and educator Sterling Higa to craft a poem entitled "Modern Honolulu," which encompasses all of the aspects of life in urban Honolulu. We shot aerial photography, and mock stock footage to showcase the modern vibrancy of Honolulu life against the backdrop of the familiar—surf, sun, beach and hula.
